Narrow aisle racking is able to offer a much denser storage area than any other form of pallet racking, as it uses narrower aisles which maximises the storage capacity of a warehouse.

Narrow aisle pallet racking requires specialised forklifts, often referred to as very narrow aisle (VNA) trucks, which are designed to manoeuvre in tight spaces and reach higher racks. Narrow aisle pallet racking is especially suitable for warehouses that require high-density storage and have a wide variety of products.

A drive-in pallet racking system is a high-density storage solution which can utilise up to 85% of available storage space for inventory as it eliminates aisles from the racking structure. Pallets are stored on rails and can be accessed from one end, which means this system operates on a First-In, Last-Out (FILO) basis and can also operate on a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) basis.

A push back pallet racking system is a dynamic operation where a forklift pushes a pallet into a bay, which causes the pallets already stored there to be pushed backwards.

When the pallet at the front is removed, the one behind it will automatically roll to the front.

Pallets can be stacked up to six deep and up to five pallets high, using space effectively and allowing for easy organisation of stock. The system uses a First In, Last Out (FILO) system with conventional forklifts and uses more than twice the floor space of wide aisle racking.Advantages

Pallet live racking systems are a type of ultra-dense storage system where minimal aisles are required between racks.

Pallets are loaded on inclined gravity rollers which slope towards the pick face, and when one is removed from the pick side, the pallet stacked behind it moves to the front at a safe and controlled speed. This automates the storage and picking process with minimum conventional forklift truck movement required to handle the flow of goods, making live racking a useful option in a variety of industries and storage applications.

Mobile pallet racking is a compact storage system utilised in warehouses and industrial facilities to maximise storage space. This is achieved by the use of mobile racks, also known as ‘carriages’, which can be moved along tracks using a motorised base, allowing you to open an aisle by pushing apart the racks only where access is required. Aisles tend to increase space requirements – therefore a mobile racking system can increase space savings by up to 40% by giving you the flexibility to move the aisle opening to wherever it is needed at any time.
