Classic Football Shirts

Previous Case Study Next Case Study

Classic Football Shirts are one of the leading suppliers of football kit memorabilia, supplying customers globally with vintage, match worn and brand new football shirts and training kit. Having spotted a niche in the market for classic retro football shirts in 2006, the company have continued their impressive growth, continually outgrowing their premises. Having started out in a student house, they moved to an out-of-town warehouse in 2011 and expanded further in 2020.

The company started out selling retro shirts to a loyal group of customers, but as they grew they started to receive used tops from the public, match worn shirts and training kit from players and clubs, and brand new, bulk stock from manufacturers. Today, they have over 30,000 individual items and over 500,000 units of stock, which are received in bulk containers or as individual items. As all used and match worn kit is washed, there is a need to store these items separately from the new bulk stock which is stored immediately ready for dispatch.

As their growth continued, Classic Football Shirts needed more clothing storage, space to organise all the kit they were being sent. Their recent move provided them with the space they needed, but they still required a solution that would allow them to store the stock depending on its route through the warehouse.

Quickline first worked with Classic Football Shirts in March 2020, providing shortspan shelving, longspan shelving and garment racking. This allows them to store bulk boxed items, boots and accessories on the shelving systems, whilst hanging individual used and match worn kit on the garment racking. Not only does this allow them to better organise their various stock lines, it improves their storage capacity, whilst also allowing for greater access and speed of picking of individual shirts.

Since the first project, Quickline and Classic Football Shirts have continued to work together, building a strong working relationship. A further four projects have been completed and Quickline are delighted to be able to support Classic Football Shirts as their business continues to grow. Dillen Hagan, Quickline’s Area Sales Manager for the North West said, “We have enjoyed working with Classic Football Shirts over the past year, having developed a strong relationship with them and supported them with a range of storage solutions. Their growth has been impressive and we are looking forward to working with them in the coming years.”
