Maximising Warehouse Space

Previous Post Next Post

As your business grows so too do your warehouse requirements. When you eventually outgrow your current space and racking system you have two options; relocate or maximise. While we’re always here to help with the former, offering a full dismantling and reinstallation service, maximising warehouse space can often be far less time consuming and costly; and by simply reworking your present system to squeeze every last sq. ft of available space, you could end up making the running of your warehouse more effective in the process. So what are the options?

Maximising with a mezzanine floor

Mezzanine floors are an excellent option for  maximising warehouse space as they allow you to exploit all unused cubic area by creating a second level of usable space. This second level of space can be used for manufacturing, retail or storage, making the inclusion of a mezzanine floor a highly flexible option which can evolve with your business. Our installation of such systems is done with minimum disruption to your day to day operations making it a much easier option than relocation. Pallet racking options to maximise space

When it comes to maximising warehouse space there are several pallet options available to allow you to make the most of your space. The most space saving option is Narrow Aisle Racking. With an aisle size of just 1.8m, this system is the best option for increasing storage space in smaller warehouses – creating maximum storage density. Another option for those who require fast access to high-density storage is Push Back Racking. A gravity fed system pushes pallets back along inclined steel channels. Using a first-in, last-out (FILO) system and conventional forklifts, pushback racking wastes very little height space and makes the very best use of the space.
